Martha Stewart Living: The Color Issue

my roommate picked this up somewhere and it was discarded in the recycle bin in my kitchen. when i started writing with it, i was so overwhelmed with all the beautiful language and imagery. i decided to just use half of it for this poem, and save the other half for another time. that way i can separate myself from it so that i don't end up writing something similar. this is easily my favorite of all the found poems i've written, thank you martha.

LCC Aspire Magazine

i received this gem in the mail. it is a course catalogue for the local community college in my town. at first i was just going to throw it away, but thought it would prove to be a challenge. usually i only get clothing or house-ware catalogues in the mail (mostly abandoned by the former renters) which never have any content worth using.

Intentional Communities

another treasure found thanks to garage sale free boxes. this book is fairly dense and thick, so i might save it for future use. i always find the bigger the books, the more daunting it is to rip them apart. it just seems that there is so much potential material inside, how am i to unlock all of it?

Vacation

i found this particular magazine tucked within the pages of yet another book discovered in a garage sale free box. at first i thought to just recycle it because it was so meager and thin, but upon further consideration decided to give it a shot.

Story of the Sea

i found this book in the free box at a garage sale. i've only used a few pages, mostly from the beginning of the book. i'm hoping to flip through it again and maybe write some more poems.
